About LocalPrice
Pricing for products is widely available on the web. However, if you are researching the price of a service, pricing is tough to find. In fact, prices for services provided by local companies are generally not available online. Simply getting a ball park price for many services requires significant time on the phone and may require meeting with a number of providers.
LocalPrice offers online price comparisons of the services offered by local companies. We are currently focused providing this information for the Atlanta, GA metro area. We plan to expand to all major metro areas in the US.
- Provide consumers researching services an expedient means of determining a fair price for services provided in their area
- Help consumers understand how prices for services are structured
- Give consumers a means to weigh the price of service versus the other attributes of the service provider, e.g. experience, location, specific offering, etc.
- Provide businesses offering customers competitive prices an additional means of reaching out to consumers in their area
LocalPrice is a privately held Atlanta-based startup founded in 2008 by Rob Shields. Rob has 10 years of broad experience working for internet companies including CheckFree Services Inc, where he was responsible for new product development, and VerticalOne, Inc. (acquired by S1 Corporation).
