Many carpet cleaners charge based on a price per room. Companies will usually define rooms as having a maximum size. Rooms greater than this maximum are typically counted as 2 areas. Parts of your house like baths, halls, stairs and closets may be treated as rooms or partial rooms. See the pricing details section of this page for how each company prices such rooms.

The service providers you hire should carry both general liability & workers compensation insurance. If the service provider damages your property or harms you or someone else, their liability insurance should cover the cost of these damages. This insurance can be expensive and some service providers may be tempted to avoid the expense by letting insurance lapse. Since insurance can expire or be cancelled, you should always verify this information yourself.

Indicates whether the business is a current member of the Better Business Bureau

Technicians IICRC certified: Just because the firm is certified, doesn't mean that the technician performing the work on your house has been certified as a Carpet Cleaning Technician. Certified technicians should be able to provide proof of certification to customers.
